Community Matters teams up with West Sixth Brewing

Community Matters in Cincinnati is teaming up with Lexington, Ky.-based West Sixth Brewing Co. to throw a party and support the brewery's Pay It Forward charity program.

The nonprofit and brewery will host the event at 6 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Incline Public House. A portion of the sales will benefit Community Matters.

There is no cost to attend the party, which will include West Sixth beers available only in Lexington.

West Sixth Brewing launched its Pay it Forward Cocoa Porter in September 2014  with the goal of using sales to support local nonprofits. Fifty cents from each six-pack sold is donated to local nonprofits.

"From the very beginning, West Sixth has been not only about brewing great beer, but also about making a difference throughout the communities we’re a part of," brewery founder Joe Kuosman said in a news release.
