Urban Artifact brewery to open April 24
Urban Artifact -- a new Cincinnati brewery that will focus on sour and wild beers -- has announced that it will open April 24 and start distributing its beers throughout Hamilton County a few days later.
The brewery is located in a former Catholic church in Northside. It's the second brewery in Ohio to find a home in a church building. Father John's Brewing Co. in Bryan was the first.
Urban Artifact has teamed up with Cavalier Distributing.
“We are very pleased to have Cavalier as part of our team," co-founder Scott Hunter said in a prepared statement. "Their values as a company directly align with ours, and we believe we bring a unique product to their portfolio."
Cavalier will distribute draft only versions of Urban Artifact’s year-round beers: Harrow, a 4.3 percent gose, Maize, a 5.3 percent Kentucky common and Finn, a 5.4 percent Berliner pale ale.
