BrewDog makes it official

BrewDog made it official today (June 10), announcing on its blog that it has a "deal to acquire 42 acres of land in the Columbus Region and will be constructing a full-scale 100,000 square foot kick ass craft brewery there, giving our legion of North American friends access to the freshest BrewDog beer imaginable."

The Scottish brewery says it's looking to build a 100-barrel brewhouse and canning line, along with a small bottling line for bombers. The brewhouse will be one of the largest in the state.

"Columbus has got a fantastic beer scene already, so it’s going to be fun to brew our beer in this vibrant Midwestern metro," the brewery said. "We considered so many potential locations in the US but eventually it was how much we loved the people of Columbus and how welcome they made us feel on our visits that put Columbus firmly at the top of our list."
